I've never really found it hard to handle a novel. It is true that I am a very sensitive person, but usually I can get through the sad scenes quickly. Yes I do shed some tears, but as I flip through the pages everything will dry up.
That is not how it is with "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini.
Initially, I thought that the book was better the "The Kite Runner" by Hosseini. I could somewhat relate to the story since the protagonists are 1. female & 2. muslims.
Now, I just hate the book. The pages are filled with so much pain and at each page I get choked with some kind of discomfort. I cannot move on because I fear what else would come.
