Skeptic Creature

I woke up to the ring of my Blackberry (BB). A call from an old friend, but I did not attend it because I was still half asleep. I did not want to sound like an old male drug addict and scare the person off. I responded with an SMS,

“Hey sorry! I was asleep. You called? Wassup?”

He replied with a, “Nothing, just like that. How are you?”

I stared at my BB, raised my eyebrows and thought, ‘Why would he call for nothing!!?’

I tend to have reservations over people who, after eons, call or message me. My FBI (Faheema Brain Investigates) starts to speculate why the person called or texted me. There has to be a reason right?

Oh! I am quite a skeptic creature; always full of doubts. I am always judging the genuineness in what people say and do. For instance if someone tells me, out of the blue, that they miss me, I will, by inclination, ask “why?”

Yes I know that is not a very pleasant thing to do. But I have a valid reason for this. My parents! I must have picked it up from them. They are strong ambassadors of “everything has a reason and should have a reason”. I guess unconsciously this theory has sunken into me, so I get curious to why someone calls me just to catch up.

The thought of calling/texting someone cannot appear out of the thin air. There has to be a genesis right? I am just a LITTLE bit curious to what initiated the reminder about me. Most of the time I think there is direct or indirect motive and 90% of the time I am not wrong. But of course I should be fair and give attention to the 10%. Sometime people do remember me, miss me and they just want to know how I am doing.

I, hereby, vow to try an tame the skeptic creature in me, so give me a buzz when you are free. We’ll catch up! :)

ur correct everything does have a reason. and it is best if u leave that reason alone, do not prod over it :D
Take it easy gal :D
sometimes that reason is not for you to know or understand :)
If a friend says he/she misses you, it only means so, as simple as that ;)

dont think too much!
