Once upon a time, not too long ago, I use to do all the cleaning, laundry and cooking in the house. And I did all this while studying full time at a university where you sometimes do not even see daylight.
The habit of doing my chores started since the age of 10, when I began to assist my mother. We never had a maid and never needed one.
When I was pregnant, we hired a maid to assist in the household chores. We trained her to do cleaning and cooking, our household style because we are not going to have time for this once the baby comes into the family. And this is how the problem began.
Now my maid does everything. Even making my coffee.
I cannot believe that I do not even make my own coffee anymore! I have submitted to her luxury of just saying "Kak! Coffee please" and tadaaa I get my coffee just the way I like it.
My maid is good and I have become lazy. The guilt is adding to my weight which I am gaining at an unacceptable rate.
Well I am not entirely wasting time either. I am working and then I have to spend time with my baby, but still that is no excuse to be not doing household chores. Maybe I should start with peeling and cutting the fruits each dat after work.
